Natthanicha Shines with Gold at Eindhoven Box Cup 2026

Eindhoven: Natthanicha Jongproongklang, a Thai-New Zealand mixed-race female boxer, clinched the gold medal at the International Boxing Championships held in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

According to Thai News Agency, the Eindhoven Box Cup 2026 served as a preparatory event for the Thai boxing team ahead of the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan. In the women's 54 kg final, Natthanicha Jongproongklang, who is also the reigning SEA Games champion, went head-to-head with Gabriela Vierheim of the Netherlands. The bout was intensely competitive, with both athletes exchanging a series of strategic blows and scoring points. After a grueling three rounds, Natthanicha secured a narrow 3-2 victory, earning her the gold medal and the prestigious Best Female Boxer award of the tournament.

The Thai national boxing team is now gearing up for their next challenge at the "World Boxing Cup China 2026," scheduled to take place in the People's Republic of China from June 15-20.
