New York:The NBA is exploring the possibility of reducing game durations to 10 minutes per quarter, aiming to address the issue of player injuries that have frequently affected superstar athletes.
According to Thai News Agency, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver proposed the idea of shortening NBA games to a total of 40 minutes, aligning with the formats used in FIBA and the EuroLeague.
This proposal is part of an ongoing effort by the league to find solutions to the persistent problem of player injuries. The current NBA format consists of 48 minutes, with each quarter lasting 12 minutes. By reducing this to 40 minutes, Silver believes it could help decrease the risk of injuries among players.
