Nirun Sae-ung Clinches Third Thailand PGA Tour Title with Dominant Victory Over US Opponent

Nakhon nayok: Niran showcased a commanding form, defeating a US pro to win his third Thailand PGA Tour title.

According to Thai News Agency, the Thailand PGA Tour professional golf tournament, "Singha-SAT BG Match Play Championship 2026," is currently taking place at the Watermill Golf Course in Nakhon Nayok Province. In the final round of the 18-hole match play, 31-year-old professional golfer Nirun Sae-ung from Nakhon Pathom defeated Sidney Chung of the United States. The match concluded on the 14th hole when Nirun secured a victory by sinking a 4-foot birdie putt, achieving a score of 5 and 4, which means he led by 5 holes with only 4 holes remaining. This triumph earned him 360,000 baht in prize money and marked his third title on the Thailand PGA Tour.

Niran commented on his performance, stating, "This week's game may not have been my best, but I was able to play crucial shots exceptionally well, especially saving par and not giving up in any situation, which were key to winning this championship."

Tied for third place were Thepnakorn Faisoon and Thanawin Lee, who ended their rounds tied after 18 holes, each receiving 113,175 baht in prize money.

The next event organized by the Professional Golf Association of Thailand is the 'Singha-SAT TDT Nakhon Pathom 2026,' with a total prize money of 1 million baht. It is set to take place from June 17-19 at The Pomelo Golf Club in Nakhon Pathom.
