Phuket: Nita Manita exercised her right to vote in advance, stating she wants a leader who is truly ready to work for the country and its people. She also encouraged all Thais to come out and vote on February 8th.
According to Thai News Agency, "Life is not a game," said Manita Duangkhum Farmer, the 53rd Miss Thailand 2022, who cast her advance vote at polling station 9, Chandrakasem Rajabhat University, in batch 27, Phuket. She later shared her feelings, expressing her joy at seeing so many Thais exercising their right to vote. She explained that before voting, she prepared by reviewing the policies of each party. For her constituency in Phuket, she looked at the achievements of her representatives. Regarding Phuket, she emphasized the importance of addressing traffic and transportation issues, as well as the needs of tourists. She noted that the free visa policy has brought in many tourists, sometimes impacting local businesses.
Regarding the selection of a national leader, Nita revealed that people need to have more hope every year because they don't want to stagnate. They want the country to continuously develop and have a better life. She feels the country has many valuable resources, and while these have been presented, they haven't been widely enough or adequately developed. She wonders why such valuable resources aren't being continuously developed. For the country right now, Nita wants to see an improved economy. In Bangkok, she wants to see better air quality and stricter control of pollution. If the air is good, people will spend more time outdoors. When there's dust, people don't want to leave their homes because they feel it's harmful to their health. She believes pollution affects health and, consequently, the economy; it's a chain reaction.
Nita wants a leader who is truly committed to working for the country and its people, not someone who only seeks power. She acknowledges that while some may view this as a political game, she wants those in power to consider that the people are not a game. The lives of the people and the country cannot be simply restarted or have options bought back. Therefore, she wants a more serious and dedicated approach to governance. Before concluding, she advises the next leader to follow through on proposed policies and govern the country as effectively as possible. She also encourages Thai citizens to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming election and the referendum.
