Bangkok:Num Kanchai, a renowned TV host and news anchor, has presented a transaction slip for a 1 million baht donation to the police and has called for foundations across Thailand to maintain transparent income and expenditure accounts.
According to Thai News Agency, Kanchai Kamnerdploy made a one-time donation of 1 million baht to the Doing Good Foundation founded by Boom Panadda. This contribution was aimed at supporting flood relief efforts in northern Thailand, particularly in the Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province, during September 2024. Kanchai, along with other entertainment figures, provided evidence of the donation to the Central Investigation Bureau.
Kanchai emphasized that his donation was carried out with pure intentions, without seeking tax deductions or business gains. He expressed no regrets about the donation and highlighted the importance of transparency in foundations to build public trust. Kanchai also addressed the need for clarity in the ongoing investigation involving potential misuse of donated funds, urging individuals involved to clarify the facts promptly.
