Bangkok: The Minister of Culture and the Minister of Digital Economy and Society have expressed their appreciation for the efforts of officials and volunteers who have been facilitating public visits to pay respects to the Royal Urn of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, at Sanam Luang.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Sabida Thaiset, Minister of Culture, and Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, personally visited Sanam Luang to commend the dedication and hard work of the service providers. Their presence was intended to boost morale and acknowledge the exceptional service delivery provided to the public during these solemn visits.
Additionally, Mr. Prasop Riangngen, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, contributed by distributing food to those who came to pay their respects. He was joined by Mr. Chaipol Suk-iam, Director-General of the Department of Religious Affairs, along with other executives and officials from the Ministry of Culture, in their service to the public.
Ms. Sabida Thaiset highlighted that the Ministry of Culture, through the Department of Religious Affairs, is conducting a “Food Distribution Service for the Public” as part of a broader project. This initiative, named “One Good Deed, a Million Loves, Proudly Loyal to Her Majesty the Queen Mother,” encourages the public to partake in good deeds, thereby demonstrating loyalty and gratitude for Her Majesty’s enduring grace.
The Minister of Culture further emphasized that these activities symbolize the power of kindness and compassion, values embodied by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. He called upon the public and volunteers from various sectors to draw inspiration from Her Majesty’s charitable spirit, urging them to work collaboratively towards the stability and sustainability of Thai society.
