Officials are rushing to install electric poles to provide electricity to more than 200 households.

A young man driving a van crashed into 17 electric poles, causing them to fall. Officials are rushing to install the electric poles and string the electric wires, which will be completed by this afternoon, in order to quickly restore electricity to alleviate the suffering of the people. From the incident in the middle of last night, there was an accident where a van lost control and hit an electric pole at the entrance of Soi Sri Burapha 17, Sri Burapha Road, Khlong Chan Subdistrict, Bang Kapi District, causing 17 electric poles to fall and be damaged, blocking traffic from the NIDA intersection until almost reaching the Bang Kapi Land intersection, resulting in a power outage along the entire route and causing a lot of inconvenience to the villagers. By Ms. Napassorn Phalaravipong, Member of the Bangkok Council for Bang Kapi District, and Mr. Phongsakorn Rattanaruangwattana, Advisor to the Minister of Tourism and Sports, who went to survey the scene and provide assistance to the people since last night. T hey revealed to the news team that the Metropolitan Electricity Authority officials had been rushing to install electric poles throughout the night. This morning, they had almost finished installing 15 poles, with only 2 poles still in the process of being installed. The Electricity Authority announced that they would complete the installation of the poles this morning before expediting the wiring. It is expected that electricity will be completed and the people will be able to use electricity by this afternoon. If the Electricity Authority officials have completed the repairs and restored electricity, they will quickly reopen the road to alleviate the suffering of those traveling through this area as soon as possible. As for the traffic, in order to facilitate the Electricity Authority officials, the entire road along Sri Burapha Road has been closed. Those traveling through the NIDA intersection will be diverted to Soi Sri Burapha 22 to exit at Soi Seri Thai 7 and the Soi behind the Housing Estate. which ca n be used to exit onto Nawamin Road. Meanwhile, those who travel through the Bangkapi Land Department intersection can detour into Soi Akara Songkhrao 5 instead, which can connect to Seri Thai Road. Regarding the suffering of the villagers throughout the past night, it was found that electricity could not be supplied to the houses of the people along Sri Burapha Road, approximately 200 households, which have been temporarily evacuated. In addition, it was found that the internet signal could not be provided via the cable attached to the electric pole, causing suffering to the people in the Bueng Kum area, which is nearby. At present, no villagers have come to file a complaint for special assistance or have suffered damages due to the inability to supply electricity. If any villagers file a complaint about this matter, as the person responsible for taking care of the people in the area, I will proceed to claim compensation. As for the damage caused to the electricity authority, I understand that the electrici ty authority will discuss this matter with the district office again. This morning, the Metropolitan Electricity Authority officials have cleared the fallen electric poles that blocked traffic and power lines. They are rushing to install the electric poles until they are almost finished before starting to string the electric wires to speed up the power supply to alleviate the suffering of our fellow citizens.
