According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chuchat Pramoonpol, Secretary-General of the Office of the Insurance Commission (OIC), expressed his condolences regarding the fire at the Na Ladprao Brewery near Soi Ladprao 1, Chom Phon Subdistrict, Chatuchak District, which resulted in numerous fatalities and injuries. He ordered immediate action to provide full insurance assistance to victims and the heirs of the deceased, and also instructed the establishment of a coordination center at the OIC office on Ratchadaphisek Road, Bangkok, to receive information on the deceased. This center will serve as a central hub for receiving reports, verifying insurance benefits, and providing advice to those affected by the incident.

Mr. Adisorn Pipatvorapong, Deputy Secretary-General for Legal Affairs and Inspection, stated that the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) has coordinated with Police Major General Pallop Aeromla, Deputy Commissioner of the Bangkok Metropolitan Police, and relevant agencies to collect information on those killed and injured. The OIC is also verifying this information through the central insurance data system to locate insurance policies and related benefits for each victim. Furthermore, the OIC is coordinating with relevant insurance companies to verify coverage and consider compensation according to policy terms, ensuring that victims and the heirs of the deceased receive prompt and fair assistance.

Preliminary investigations into insurance coverage reveal that the establishment has fire insurance with Tipaya Insurance Public Company Limited, policy number 12001-108-260189414, with coverage from March 18, 2026, to March 18, 2027, for a total insured amount of 40 million baht. The coverage includes the building structure, building renovations and additions, furniture, permanent fixtures, electrical appliances, and inventory. An assessment of the damage caused by the fire is currently underway.

Efforts are being made to work closely with the insurance companies that have underwritten the insurance policies to further investigate whether the deceased and injured had other types of insurance, such as life insurance, personal accident (PA) insurance, health insurance, or other relevant insurance, to ensure that the victims and the heirs of the deceased receive all insurance benefits fully according to the terms and coverage stipulated in the insurance policies.
