Bangkok: The opposition leader has issued a stark warning about Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's decision to annul a peace treaty with Cambodia, emphasizing potential national security threats and Thailand's strategic disadvantage.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Natthaphong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party and the opposition in the House of Representatives, expressed concerns over Anutin's approach following a landmine incident that seriously injured a Thai soldier. Natthaphong condemned the illegal use of landmines and criticized Anutin for leveraging nationalist sentiments for political gain instead of addressing the core issues surrounding the Thailand-Cambodia relations and the crackdown on scams.
Natthaphong highlighted the recent report by Malaysia's state-run news agency, Bernama, which covered an interview with Malaysia's Foreign Minister.
