Pat Napapa Plans for Second Child After Blighted Ovum Diagnosis

Bangkok: Pat Napapa is accelerating her recovery and preparing for her second child after experiencing a blighted ovum. The resilient mother of one had initially confirmed her pregnancy through ten home tests, all indicating positive. Her plan was to reveal the joyous news to her husband, P Chanon, on his birthday. However, a medical checkup at three months revealed a blighted ovum, halting the pregnancy due to the absence of a nucleus in the egg, requiring her to terminate the pregnancy and take a two-month rest.

According to Thai News Agency, Pat recently attended the "Jaew Zaap Fero" food festival, where she candidly discussed her experience, maintaining a positive outlook. She shared, "When the doctor informed me, I had already accepted the diagnosis. In September, I underwent an ultrasound and a D and C on the same day. The doctor advised a two-month rest for recovery. I'll continue to monitor my health before deciding whether to conceive naturally or seek medical assistance, especially since I'm nearing 40."

Throughout the process, her husband, P Chanon, has been a pillar of support. "He was initially more upset than I was, but we've supported each other. We understand the need to be patient and not to stress, as it could lead to depression. Currently, we're doing fine, planning to reassess in a month. I'm focusing on nutrition, consuming high-protein foods like beef, chicken, and pork. My diet includes 15 skewers of grilled pork and sometimes a whole chicken, as per the doctor's advice."

Pat also disclosed her previous efforts in storing eggs since age 36, which were unsuccessful due to abnormal chromosomes in one egg while others failed to fertilize. Reflecting on her journey, she stated, "I never imagined conceiving would be so challenging, especially when it was easy with Nong Racing." Her son, Nong Racing, has expressed his desire for a sibling, which has motivated Pat further. "He recently played with May Primaya's children, Nong Sol and Nong Mone, and expressed his wish for a sibling. We assured him that his wish would come true soon, while he enjoys playing with other children for now."
