Rome: Italian media reports that Pep Guardiola is demanding 20 million euros per year to manage the Italian national team.
According to Thai News Agency, Spanish coach Pep Guardiola is seeking an annual salary of 20 million euros to become the new coach of the Italian national team. Guardiola has been consistently linked with the team after Paolo Maldini, the newly appointed technical director of the Azzurri, expressed interest in bringing the former Manchester City coach on board.
The Italian national team has been struggling, having failed to qualify for the World Cup in three consecutive tournaments. Despite Guardiola's high salary demand, reports suggest that the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) might only be able to offer him 10 million euros.
