Bangkok: "Pharadon" clarified the ongoing issue concerning the allocation of committee seats, attributing it to a shortage of available positions compared to the demand. He reassured that the administration remains fair, denying any internal rift within the group despite certain MPs being removed from the group chat.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Paradorn Prisnanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and a prominent member of the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed the controversy surrounding a leaked list of anticipated committee chairpersons representing the party. He also addressed reports of some MPs withdrawing from the party's group chat, attributing it to potential phone malfunctions or messaging errors. Mr. Paradorn expressed his expectation that the party's executive committee would convene to discuss the formation of the standing committees by May 5th.
Mr. Paradorn emphasized the challenge of having limited positions amidst a pool of eager and capable individuals within the party, making it challenging to satisfy everyone. However, he assured that the Bhumjaithai Party is committed to a fair distribution of positions among its members.
When questioned about whether this issue might lead to a minor rift within the government, Mr. Paradorn stated that such an outcome is unlikely and described it as an internal matter that can be resolved through discussion.
