Bangkok: Pheu Thai Party introduces new MP candidates for 3 additional districts, welcoming Warathep Rattanakorn, confident he will strengthen Kamphaeng Phet’s ranks.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, Chiang Mai MP and leader of the Pheu Thai Party, along with Mr. Prasert Chantaruangthong, party secretary-general, Mr. Suriya Jungrungreangkit, party election director, Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, Sa Kaeo MP and deputy leader of the Pheu Thai Party, and Mr. Pongkawin Jungrungreangkit, deputy leader of the party, jointly introduced three MP candidates for the fifth round.
Mr. Suriya stated that he was delighted to welcome the Pheu Thai Party’s selected candidates for the House of Representatives. He added that Kamphaeng Phet Province will be introducing three candidates today. Kamphaeng Phet has four districts, with one more district currently undergoing selection and will be introduced at a later date.
Mr. Chulaphan stated that the Pheu Thai Party is currently conducting a series of candidate launches, with another one taking place tomorrow. He expressed pleasure in welcoming Mr. Warathep Rattanakorn back to the party, highlighting his past contributions as a former Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office during the era of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. He emphasized the regained strength in Kamphaeng Phet with the addition of Mr. Warathep and other candidates, expressing confidence in their potential success in the upcoming election.
Mr. Chulaphan further noted that the candidates possess strong qualifications in education and work history. He emphasized the leadership of Mr. Warathep, who is expected to enhance the party’s position in Kamphaeng Phet Province and the lower northern region. The strengthened team is anticipated to advance the Pheu Thai Party’s election prospects.
Warathep Rattanakorn, reflecting on his return to the Pheu Thai Party after a hiatus, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome from the party leaders. He reiterated his long-standing association with the party and expressed confidence in contributing to its future success in the elections.
Mr. Warathep articulated his belief in the public’s support for the Pheu Thai Party based on its past performance and policy initiatives. He acknowledged the mixed success of political policies but asserted the party’s position as a leading contender in addressing economic and livelihood issues.
He further elaborated on his desire to return to his hometown and his continued collaboration with Pheu Thai Party members. He expressed confidence in the party’s prospects in both Kamphaeng Phet and Sukhothai, citing his familiarity and trust in fellow party members.
The newly introduced MP candidates include Mr. Thanakorn Rattanakarn, Mr. Nopphon Phon-amnuay, and Mr. Surasit Wongwittayanan. During the candidate launch, Mr. Anan Phon-amnuay showed support for his son, one of the candidates.
