Bangkok: Pholpeer is scheduled to meet with Ekanat along with representatives from the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) tomorrow to discuss ways to allocate 20 billion baht for public lighting and streetlights. The proposal will be submitted to Anutin for consideration after his return from France. According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Interior Minister Polpeera Suwannachavi revealed that tomorrow (June 28), discussions will be held with Energy Minister Ekanat Promphan, as well as the MEA and PEA, to find ways to allocate approximately 20 billion baht for the maintenance of public electricity systems and street lighting. The committee will consider which budget or revenue streams of the relevant agencies can be used to cover the cost, so as not to burden the public, before submitting the conclusions to Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul upon his return from France for consideration.
