“Phumtham” reveals special cabinet meeting to discuss coalition party policies

"Phumtham" reveals that the special cabinet meeting will discuss the policies of the coalition parties before the policy statement to the parliament, emphasizing the policy to solve poverty problems. He believes that "Prime Minister Yingluck" can answer the parliament's questions without having to practice, saying that she speaks fluently and is herself, and does not need to be tutored. Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, acting as the Prime Minister, talked about the special Cabinet meeting after the new Cabinet was approved and the Cabinet was sworn in. He said that if the Cabinet was sworn in, the next thing to do is to announce the Cabinet's policies to the Parliament. Therefore, the first special Cabinet meeting will discuss the policies that need to be announced to the Parliament, which includes all the coalition parties, so that they have a common understanding and can be forwarded to the Parliament. Mr. Phumtham continued that all the coalition parties have bee n working together all along. Whoever thinks of something has already spoken and proposed it. Each party must discuss their policies. If they are the same, they will go together and submit them. But if they are not the same or have different opinions, they will find an appropriate point that is the central policy of the government. In fact, they will talk about the main important policies by talking about the principles. They do not specify the details of how to handle this or that issue. However, it is a big framework, such as a policy to solve the problem of poverty for the people, which has been discussed continuously. 'They have talked about it a bit. They said they would propose something. Actually, there is almost no need to do anything new. Even though it is a new government, the big framework is the same. But there may be some things that need to be adjusted because the situation has changed. We have to look at it and talk about it, that's all, to find common ground,' said Mr. Phumtham. When asked a bout the digital wallet policy, Mr. Phumtham said that we have been talking with the coalition parties all along and there is nothing different. There are only details here and there like this. When asked whether there would be discussions on the criteria for disbursing money from the digital wallet project in cash, Mr. Phumtham said that it had not reached that level yet. If we still insist that we will manage the digital wallet to stimulate the economy, the main principle would be something like this. However, the writer will conclude it as he did not participate in the policy-making. When asked again whether there would be a joint policy announcement on the special cabinet meeting day, Mr. Phumtham said that once the meeting is over and the announcement is made at the parliament, it will be announced anyway. It will probably be only 1-2 days different. Right now, there is nothing. We are just discussing the process thoroughly to come and govern the country. When asked if looking ahead to the parliamenta ry work, we will see the Prime Minister answering questions regularly, does he need any special tutoring for the Prime Minister? Mr. Phumtham said that there is no need for tutoring. His Prime Minister is very good. When everyone goes to speak in the parliament, if it is a related matter or a matter that requires details, everyone already knows. We know the main points of every matter, but the details are things that the regular team has done, so we have to look at them. But there is no need to tutor or practice what to say. Everyone is already in their own nature. Everyone sees that the Prime Minister speaks clearly and fluently, understands the issues, has wisdom, and can see the main points. He confirmed that there is no need for tutoring and has never tutored anyone. Source: Thai News Agency
