Bangkok: Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, addressed the recent announcement of collaboration between Mr. Jatuporn Promphan and Mr. Sonthi Limthongkul, emphasizing their right to cooperate while urging adherence to legal protocols.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jatuporn, former chairman of the red shirt movement and a lecturer with the People’s Fusion Group, publicly declared his partnership with Mr. Sonthi, host of the Sonthi Talk program, during an event titled “There is Only One Truth.” Phumtham expressed that he is not yet concerned about potential anti-government movements stemming from this alliance, asserting that individuals have the right to pursue their thoughts and actions, provided they comply with the law.
Phumtham reassured that the government remains committed to its responsibilities and is open to listening to the concerns and ideas of its citizens. He reiterated the importance of legal compliance for any collaborative efforts, indicating that the government is prepared to address any issues that may arise from such partnerships.
