Pimphisa Rabrong Triumphs in Color Tour Championship at The Vintage Club

Samut prakan: Pimphisa Rabrong secured a victory in the Color Tour championship at The Vintage Club, triumphing in the playoffs against AJ-Panisa Sukonthosoth. The event, organized by the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), served as a precursor to the upcoming "Singha NSDF Ladies Championship 2026" tournament, featuring a prize pool of 1.5 million baht and participation from 120 professional and amateur golfers.

According to Thai News Agency, the one-day tour concluded with both Pimphisa, a 19-year-old student from Arizona State University, and Panisa, a 15-year-old from Bang Phra, Chonburi, finishing with scores of 4 under par 68. This tie led to a playoff to determine the champion. During the playoff's first round at the par-4 18th hole, both players saved par, leading to a second round. Pimphisa achieved a two-on, while Panisa's second shot required a chip for a three-on, resulting in a bogey. Pimphisa secured the win by saving par with two putts, earning the winner's trophy.

Reflecting on her victory, Pimphisa expressed excitement about the playoffs, noting her lengthy absence from competitive play. She highlighted her opponent's strong performance and discussed the strategic planning with her father, attributing her success to her improved iron shots. Pimphisa also mentioned her challenges in a previous match at Laem Chabang, which motivated her to refine her skills.

Pimphisa acknowledged her putting performance, despite some missed opportunities due to the course's sharp lines. She emphasized her focus on gaining experience and her commitment to performing well in future tournaments. With plans to return to America next month, Pimphisa appreciated the opportunity to practice under pressure in Thailand and compete alongside professional golfers.

The tournament saw four amateur golfers, Praelee Jirassarakul, Sarisa Pojanalai, Jiranant Lim, and Chananyu Chowvivatana, tied for third place with scores of 3 under par 69. Among the professional golfers, Pavarisa Yoktuan, Chakansim Khambon, Sasikarn Somboonthap, and Thawalrat Wongkusaltham each scored 2 under par 70, sharing the prize money of 8,875 baht. Amateur golfers Thanatchaporn Inthasang and Thitikan Tharaphasit also scored 2 under par 70.

The "Singha-NSDF Ladies Championship 2026" is scheduled to take place from July 8-10, 2026, at The Vintage Club in Samut Prakan province. Updates and live scores will be available every three holes on the THAI LPGA TOUR Facebook page.
