Pink Lotus Sea at Bueng Boraphet Blooms in Winter

Bangkok: Spectacular! The pink lotus sea at Bueng Boraphet is in full bloom, welcoming the winter season. A picture of thousands of pink lotus flowers blooming across the water surface can be seen, as Bueng Boraphet is located in the Bueng Boraphet Wildlife Sanctuary in Nakhon Sawan Province. This large lake is not only important to the ecosystem but also serves as a crucial water source for the people of Nakhon Sawan.

According to Thai News Agency, during the right season, the pond transforms into a stunning sea of pink lotuses. These red or pink lotuses bloom in large numbers, creating a picturesque scenery. Bueng Boraphet is not only a beautiful natural tourist attraction but also an essential ecosystem that provides habitat for a variety of wildlife. The care and conservation of this area by the Protected Area Administration Office 12 (Nakhon Sawan) under the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation have allowed Bueng Boraphet to remain pristine and continue to amaze visitors every year.

The best time to visit is early morning, around 6:00-9:00 AM, when the lotus flowers are in full bloom. The air is still cool, and the morning sunlight makes photos especially beautiful. It’s also a good time to observe water birds and other wildlife as they come out to feed in the morning.
