Police Investigate Cyanide Poisoning in Bang Kruai

Bang kruai: Police are guarding Natpong’s house, preparing to collect more evidence. Police patrol the front of Natpong’s house after finding cyanide. They are coordinating with relatives to prepare to open the house to collect more evidence.

According to Thai News Agency, in the case of Mr. Nattawut Ponglangka, or Nong Nat, a reporter and announcer for a well-known TV station, who died at home in a village in the Bang Kruai area on November 30th, the Institute of Forensic Medicine yesterday revealed that it had found a “cyanide” substance in a quantity sufficient to be life-threatening.

Most recently, this morning, in a village in the Bang Kruai area, in front of Mr. Nattawut Ponglangka’s house, police lines were installed around the house to prevent outsiders from entering. Additionally, two patrol police officers were stationed in front of the house to maintain security.

It was reported that today, the Provincial Police Region 1 commander will convene an investigative team meeting at Bang Kruai Police Station to discuss the progress of the case. The meeting will discuss coordination with the deceased’s family regarding their readiness to enter the home so that police can gather evidence. However, it has not been confirmed whether this will be today or tomorrow, as everyone is still attending the cremation ceremony in Chiang Rai Province.

Initially, police contacted “Big” and “Ton,” close associates who were present at the scene and were the last to be with Mr. Nattawut, to come and give statements. However, both of them informed the police that they wanted to finish attending the funeral first and cooperate with the procedures.
