Aranyaprathet: Police raided a ketamine party, arresting 10 Thai and Cambodian teenagers and seizing a large quantity of drugs.
According to Thai News Agency, the raid took place at a house located in Moo 7, Khlong Nam Sai Subdistrict, Aranyaprathet District, Sa Kaeo Province. Upon entering the premises, officers were met with loud music and found 10 young individuals, comprising 4 Thais and 6 Cambodians, engaged in drug use.
Inside the house, authorities discovered a table filled with alcoholic beverages and 26.79 grams of ketamine, a type 2 controlled substance. Some of the drugs were laid out in trays for immediate consumption, while others were hidden in a bag. Additionally, 123 plastic bags intended for drug resale and two digital weighing scales were seized.
The successful operation was a collaborative effort between Sa Kaeo police and military personnel from the Burapha Task Force. The raid followed intelligence reports indicating that the location was frequently used by Thai and Cambodian teenagers for drug parties, specifically involving ketamine.
The suspects now face various charges, including joint possession of ketamine, drug use (methamphetamine), and, for the Cambodian nationals, violations of the Immigration Act due to expired permits. All individuals, along with the confiscated evidence, were transferred to Khlong Nam Sai Police Station for further legal proceedings.
