PPRP Reshuffles Leadership, Trinuch Thienthong Appointed Party Secretary-General

Bangkok: The Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) has announced a significant reshuffle within its leadership structure, appointing Trinuch Thienthong as the new party secretary-general. The party has also set a deadline of December 8th to announce its prime ministerial candidates. Paiboon Nititawan, Deputy Leader of the party, expressed hopes of submitting three names for consideration, maintaining that General Prawit Wongsuwan, affectionately known as “Big Pom,” remains a contender for the prime minister position and is prepared to field MP candidates across all regions.

According to Thai News Agency, the PPRP held its 3rd Annual General Meeting of 2025, led by General Prawit Wongsuwan, who serves as a party-list MP and the leader of the party. The gathering drew attendance from the party’s executive committee, regional MPs, branch representatives, and numerous party members.

Paiboon Nititawan announced that the meeting ratified the minutes and revised party regulations, which included relocating the party’s office and electing new executive committee members to fill vacant roles. The elections resulted in the appointment of one deputy party leader, a secretary-general, and seven other executive committee members.

The new executive committee members are as follows: General Prawit Wongsuwan as Party Leader, Ms. Trinuch Thienthong as Party Secretary, Mr. Paiboon Nititawan as Deputy Party Leader, Mr. Thirachai Phuwanatnaranubala, Mr. Suradej Yasawat, Mr. Phakthorn Thianchai, Mr. Niphan Sirithon as Deputy Leaders, General Krisanayothin Sasipatwong as Party Treasurer, and several others as committee members.

Paiboon also shared that a candidate selection committee was formed, comprising five executive directors: Mr. Paiboon Nititawan, Ms. Trinuch Thienthong, General Krisanayothin Sasipatwong, Mr. Phakthorn Thienchai, and Mr. Yutthana Sritabutra. The party has also established branches in four provinces: Chiang Mai, Pattani, Roi Et, and Singburi, and appointed political party representatives from Sa Kaeo and Bangkok.

Further, Paiboon invited submissions of potential prime minister candidates for consideration by the party’s executive committee, with a submission deadline set for December 8th. He assured that the party is well-prepared for the upcoming elections, with MP candidates ready in every region and a selection process underway for the party’s 400 constituencies.

Finally, Paiboon confirmed the party’s intention to propose more than one prime ministerial candidate, potentially submitting all three names. He affirmed that General Prawit Wongsuwan will be among the proposed candidates for the prime ministerial role.
