“Prasert” is about to discuss with the Treasury Department to use a government app to pay flood relief money.

"Prasert", Minister of Digital Economy, revealed that he is preparing to discuss with the Ministry of Finance to use a government app to pay flood relief money, indicating that it will be continuously developed to the level of a super app that covers all aspects of service. Mr. Prasert Chantarawongthong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society, talked about the development of a government application as a channel for flood relief payments to the people, which is the Prime Minister's idea. He said that the government application can already support people's registration. The potential to support registration is as high as tens of millions of people. Most recently, the registration of the digital wallet project has exceeded 30 million people. As for payments and relief, they can be made, but they must be connected to the PromptPay system to help. It depends on the decision of the Ministry of Finance again. We must wait for the Ministry of Finance to elaborate on this matter first. M r. Prasert talked about the government application that will be developed to stimulate the economy, saying that it is certain because the government application is the main application. In the future, it will be a super application. And after the economic stimulus policy in various matters, this application will also provide government services in other matters. And it will be continuous, not just occasional use. Likewise, the development of the application will be continuous. When asked if the Ministry of Finance had coordinated discussions on PromptPay, Mr. Prasert said that he wanted to know the clarity on how to send money to the people. The systems are not difficult to link. Source: Thai News Agency
