Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, said after discussing with large entrepreneurs to organize a product discount festival under the government's economic recovery project, which is scheduled to be organized for 3 consecutive months between August 20 and November 20, 2024 that initially, there were 150 large private companies, consumer product manufacturers, and wholesale and retail traders willing to join the project through 3 activities and 6 operational guidelines, namely: 1. Reduce costs for small entrepreneurs, both by reducing shop and market stall rental fees, organizing promotions with online stores, reducing shipping costs, which received cooperation from Thailand Post. 2. Increase sales areas for small businesses, organize commercial markets nationwide in 76 provinces, both in government and private sectors. 3. In reducing the burden of costs and expenses, we will discuss with the State Railway of Thailand to arrange cheap transportation for entrepreneurs nationwide to bring their products to sell. Th is operation will be a preparation for the digital money project at the end of the year, which will have 450,000-500,000 million baht entering the system.
