Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul Applauds Thai Craftsmanship at OTOP Midyear 2026

Bangkok: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, clad in a traditional Thai cotton jacket, graced the OTOP Midyear 2026 event alongside actress Jaa Thanont, celebrating the artistry of Thai craftsmanship. The event, which has already generated 438 million baht in revenue, will continue until June 28, 2026, at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister, accompanied by his wife Mrs. Thanon Charnvirakul, Chairperson of the Cabinet Spouses Association, visited the event on June 24, 2026. Their visit was aimed at motivating and appreciating the efforts of Thai entrepreneurs and artisans. The occasion was also graced by several dignitaries, including Ms. Nan Bunthida Somchai, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy and Society, and Mr. Arsit Sampanrat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior.

During his visit, Mr. Anutin expressed gratitude towards the public for their enthusiastic participation in the event. He emphasized the significance of developing OTOP products that align with consumer demands in modern society. The Prime Minister also relished the culinary offerings at the "OTOP Food Tasting" zone, highlighting the event's diverse attractions.

The event, which runs from June 20-28, 2026, offers a platform for showcasing various OTOP products and has recorded substantial sales, with Surin, Chanthaburi, Sukhothai, Lamphun, and Chiang Mai being the top provinces in terms of revenue.
