Bangkok: The Prime Minister visited Udon Thani to await the results of the parliamentary election in Constituency 3. He paid respects at a temple before congratulating the party's candidate. According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, traveled to Udon Thani Province to monitor the election results for Constituency 3 of Udon Thani, where the Bhumjaithai Party candidate, Mr. Athikarn Kaewkruesri, was running. When the Prime Minister met with reporters and was asked about his visit, he said, "Wait until they announce the results. I'd like to go pay my respects at the temple first." The Prime Minister then asked the reporters whether high voter turnout had been reported. The reporters replied that it was lower than usual because there was no advance voting and it was raining. They then asked if he was happy with the election results. The Prime Minister responded, "Wait a minute," and laughed. When the reporters mentioned that he was currently leading, he replied, "Really?" and nodded.
