Bangkok: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul recently engaged with Gen Z fans in a spirited celebration of the Thai women's volleyball team's recent success. The prime minister joined Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Yotsanun Wongsawat, in volleyball juggling to honor the team's achievement. According to Thai News Agency, this event followed a significant workshop held by the Prime Minister and the Cabinet alongside government agencies. The workshop aimed to gather insights, identify challenges, and propose development plans for the southern provinces of Songkhla, Satun, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. After the workshop, the officials visited Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Songkhla Campus, where they performed a volleyball juggling dance with local students. This celebration was in recognition of the Thai women's national volleyball team's victory over China, securing a 3-2 win and clinching their 4th Asian Championship title in 2026. This victory also qualifies them for the 2028 Olympic Games and the 2027 World Championship, marking a significant milestone in Thai sports.
