Bangkok: The Prime Minister is actively monitoring the crane collapse incidents that occurred in Sikhiu District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, and on Rama 2 Road. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has been following up on the progress of his directives related to these incidents.
According to Thai News Agency, Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, Mr. Siripong Angkasakulkiat, disclosed that Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul chaired a recent Cabinet meeting. During this meeting, the Prime Minister reiterated his previous instructions regarding the crane collapses and road subsidence in nearby areas, emphasizing the importance of progress on these matters. He urged relevant agencies to report any updates to the Cabinet.
The Prime Minister has directed the Ministry of Transport, the Insurance Commission, and other relevant agencies to consider compensation for those who lost their lives and to cover medical expenses for those injured. Furthermore, he instructed the Ministry of Transport to consider terminating the contract with the construction company responsible for the incidents and to investigate the cause. The Prime Minister emphasized that while the contract termination should be conducted carefully, it must also be done swiftly to prevent any recurrence of such incidents.
