Bangkok: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul inaugurated the 69th Annual General Meeting of the Ministry of Interior Wives' Association, lauding its role as a "strong and warm support system" that reinforces the vitality and stability of Ministry of Interior families, thereby enabling them to effectively perform their responsibilities in alleviating suffering and promoting well-being.
According to Thai News Agency, the meeting was chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, and was attended by prominent figures such as Mr. Arsit Sampanrat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior; Mrs. Jinnaratch Sampanrat, President of the Ministry of Interior Wives Association; and Mr. Theerapat Khachamat, Director-General of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation. The event saw participation from over 150 attendees, including officials and media personnel.
The Prime Minister emphasized the association's crucial role in providing support and fostering unity among Ministry of Interior families. He highlighted the importance of the association's mission in driving various initiatives that enhance security, environmental protection, and grassroots economic promotion, thereby improving the quality of life for people across the nation through its network of provincial clubs.
Mr. Anutin stated that the association effectively translates policies into practice, significantly supporting the Ministry of Interior's mission. He noted that the provincial presidents of the association are instrumental in implementing policies and activities, ensuring efficient and impactful outcomes.
The meeting provided a platform for discussion and idea exchange among the presidents of the Ministry of Interior's Housewives Associations from across the country, aiming to develop operational guidelines for 2026 to achieve the association's objectives and goals.
The president of the Association of Wives of Ministry of Interior Officials outlined the meeting's focus on presenting policies for 2026, electing new executive committee members, and fostering good relationships among provincial presidents. The policies for 2026 cover five key areas, including environmental care, community economy promotion, support for the poor and disadvantaged, spiritual development, and the building of awareness and relationships through online communication and outreach programs.
