Bangkok:Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is hastening his return from England to address an emergency situation in Thailand.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Ekkapop Pienpises, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced that Prime Minister Charnvirakul has adjusted his travel schedule, leaving London at 100 PM local time, instead of the originally planned 300 PM. His arrival in Thailand is anticipated at approximately 800 AM on September 27, 2026, allowing him to take charge of the emergency operations sooner than expected.
While the Prime Minister is en route, the Deputy Prime Minister and the responsible minister are actively coordinating with various agencies and local authorities. Their efforts are focused on issuing warnings and providing comprehensive assistance. In Bangkok, the Governor is managing flood-affected areas, supported by the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) and other agencies, which are prepared to supply equipment and personnel to expedite water drainage.
The Spokesperson's Office, Public Relations Department, Thai News Agency, and other related agencies are collaborating to gather information and regularly update the public on the situation.
