Bangkok:The Prime Minister has defended the public solar power project, asserting that it brings only positive benefits while criticizing detractors for spreading negative news that undermines the initiative.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul addressed the criticisms directed at the public solar power project, which some perceive as benefiting large corporations. He emphasized that the project is designed to reduce expenses for citizens, increase savings opportunities, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and promote the use of renewable energy from natural sources.
Anutin criticized those who question the project, suggesting that they are not contributing positively and instead aim to spread false news that undermines confidence in Thailand. He argued that the initiative is beneficial in building the country's confidence, as it enables people to use rooftop solar power, earn carbon credits, reduce global warming, lower costs, and receive government funding.
