Prime Minister Inspects Tactical Operations at Air Force Base 1 in Nakhon Ratchasima

Nakhon ratchasima: The Prime Minister inspected the tactical operations of Air Force Base 1 in Nakhon Ratchasima, in preparation for any threats. The Prime Minister revealed that he inspected the tactics of Air Force Base 1 in Nakhon Ratchasima, assessing its readiness to respond to threats from neighboring countries. He asked the public to have confidence in the Thai armed forces, which are ready to protect national sovereignty.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, in his capacity as Chairman of the National Security Council, gave an interview after visiting the Air Force's tactical operations at Wing 1. He stated that he was visiting the Air Force, noting Wing 1 as a crucial operational base used in combating aggressors against Thailand during times of crisis. He explained that the Air Force Commander and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces had requested a presentation on the support requested from the government over the past 10 months, outlining the effectiveness of this support in enhancing the capabilities of the Thai armed forces. The aim was to provide the government with a better understanding of the situation. Therefore, today's visit included a briefing and presentation from the Air Force, highlighting several areas requiring further support to ensure the security of the country and its people.

When asked whether the Prime Minister's five policy areas encompassed cooperation between the armed forces, Mr. Anutin stated that they would adhere to a unified approach in defending their country. He noted that the Air Force Commander had also specified that this wasn't solely dependent on the armed forces or security, but rather on the cooperation of all key government agencies, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, and any other ministries capable of working together. The goal is to achieve readiness that instills greater public confidence and ensures security against threats from neighboring countries.

When asked what the Prime Minister wanted to say about the Air Force's capabilities and whether it needed any specific support at this time, Mr. Anutin stated that government support is provided in all forms. Each year, each branch of the armed forces allocates a budget. The government ensures that this budget allocation yields maximum benefit and is subject to parliamentary approval. Regarding the development and upgrading of the armed forces' readiness, this must happen daily because technology changes constantly. Warfare is no longer just about face-to-face combat; it requires the deployment of cutting-edge technology. Having more advanced capabilities than neighboring countries will give us a competitive advantage. Thailand is fortunate to have advanced infrastructure, as the foundations of the Thai armed forces, from the past to the present, have laid a foundation to ensure a military with superior capabilities compared to its neighbors. Therefore, he can confidently say that the public should have confi dence in the capabilities of all branches of the armed forces, knowing that they are committed to maintaining national sovereignty and fully protecting the lives and property of all citizens.
