Prime Minister Launches Forum to Engage Private Sector in Economic Growth

Bangkok: The Prime Minister inaugurated the "Entrepreneurs Speak, Government Listens" forum aimed at addressing issues and proposals from major private sector companies. The initiative is designed to remove obstacles, support investment expansion, create jobs, and stimulate the Thai economy. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of listening to the private sector to effectively drive economic growth.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul expressed his expectations from discussions with executives from 10 major business groups and over 34 private sector representatives at the forum. He stated that the main objective is to allow entrepreneurs to provide advice and opinions, ensuring their suggestions and recommendations are considered. The government will strive to facilitate these processes to benefit entrepreneurs, the public, and the country as a whole.

Regarding the development of proposals as tools for progress, the Prime Minister revealed his intention to understand the current situation in each business sector. He seeks to identify how the government can support business expansion, generate income, create jobs, and contribute to national prosperity, while addressing any obstacles entrepreneurs face.

Mr. Anutin further explained that under his leadership, the government aims to drive the economy in a specific direction. He emphasized that the government is not the business operator, and projects implemented without consulting entrepreneurs might not meet their needs or be efficient. Open communication is essential as entrepreneurs already have established relationships with the government. The government's role is to ensure a strong, effectively driven, and sustainable economy.

Addressing cooperation with experienced entrepreneurs, the Prime Minister stated that supporting their business expansion and building confidence in their products will create jobs, improve employment rates, and drive economic growth.
