Hat yai: Thanakorn confirms the Prime Minister has instructed all units to expedite relief efforts. The Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul visited Hat Yai multiple times to oversee the situation. Thanakorn noted the necessity for quick action, reflecting on the Prime Minister’s dedication to addressing the crisis from the onset. He accompanied the Prime Minister on several visits to the affected regions.

Regarding potential adjustments to compensation criteria, Thanakorn expressed that it is conceivable to make such changes. He emphasized the need for rapid assistance to reach the people. All government ministers have visited the area, emphasizing the importance of empathy and swift relief. The Prime Minister is keen to avoid unnecessary dramatization of the situation.

In terms of industrial impact, Thanakorn reported minor damage to some factories, with closures primarily due to workers’ inaccessibility. He mentioned plans to propose measures to the Cabinet, including debt relief and machinery support, to aid recovery.
