Prime Minister Pushes for Global Trade Expansion with Thai Chamber of Commerce

Bangkok: The Prime Minister held a meeting at Government House with the Thai Chamber of Commerce to accelerate the opening of global trade markets.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister met with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Thai Chambers of Commerce, emphasizing the significant role of the private sector as a key driver of the economy. He urged the acceleration of global trade expansion and expressed the government's willingness to collaborate closely with the business sector to promote trade, investment, and market expansion abroad.

Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul highlighted his recent visit to Vietnam, where he was accompanied by representatives from the Thai private sector. During the visit, they held discussions with the Vietnamese government and businesses, which he deemed successful. Mr. Anutin emphasized the importance of transforming the relationship between Thailand and Vietnam from being economic competitors to strategic partners. He noted that both countries share similar economic sizes, industrial potential, and growth rates, and by combining their strengths, they could enhance competitiveness globally and create mutual benefits in production and trade.

The discussions with Vietnamese leaders were described as positive, with Mr. Anutin conveying the proposals and needs of the Thai business sector.
