Bangkok: The Prime Minister convened a meeting with ministers to address issues surrounding the state welfare card at Khu Fah Building prior to the scheduled Cabinet meeting.
According to Thai News Agency, the meeting, chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, focused on reviewing the criteria for the state welfare card. This review comes in response to a recent wave of disqualifications affecting many eligible individuals. Key attendees included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Minister of Transport Siripong Angkasakulkiat, Deputy Minister of Interior Polpira Suwannachavi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office Paradorn Prisnanantakul, and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior Arsit Sampanrat.
In a brief interaction with the media following the meeting, the Prime Minister refrained from commenting on the state welfare card issue, instead greeting reporters with "Ni hao" and "Wo shang hao."
Notably absent from the Cabinet meeting were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Supajee Suthamphan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkaew, Minister of Digital Economy and Society Chaiyanok Chidchob, and Deputy Minister of Interior Jetset Thaiseth.
