Pattani: Privy Councilors visited the southern border provinces to monitor education at the Phra Dabos School and the security situation. His Majesty the King graciously appointed General Paiboon Koomchaya, Privy Councillor, to visit, encourage, and monitor operations in the southern border provinces at the Forward Command of the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4, Sirindhorn Camp, Yarang District, Pattani Province. Present at the meeting were Major General Chakrit Ucharatana, Deputy Commander of the 4th Army Area / Deputy Director of the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 Forward Command; Mr. Chonthan Saengphum, Deputy Secretary-General and Acting Secretary-General of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center; Police Lieutenant General Piyawat Chalermsri, Commander of the Provincial Police Region 9; the Governor of Pattani Province; the Deputy Governor of Yala Province; the Director of the Phra Dabos School for the Southern Border Provinces; the school's committee and administ rators; representatives from educational institutions; heads of government departments; police; military; administrative officials; and other relevant agencies.
According to Thai News Agency, on this occasion, the Privy Councillor chaired a meeting to monitor the progress of education and the Phra Dabos School in the Southern Border Provinces. The meeting received updates on the progress and management of the educational institutions and followed up on strategies for continuous educational development to improve the quality of teaching and learning and create career opportunities for youth in the area, especially children and youth affected by the unrest or lacking educational opportunities.
The meeting discussed guidelines for developing vocational curricula that align with labor market demands, ensuring that young people acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for real-world employment. It also reviewed problems, obstacles, and approaches to improving educational management, with advisory committee members and administrators participating in the discussions to drive vocational education and skills development in line with youth needs and the labor market.
Subsequently, the Privy Councillor chaired a meeting to monitor the security situation, receiving intelligence reports, reports on suppressing subversive activities, and security measures in the area from relevant agencies. He also provided guidance and recommendations for operational procedures, emphasizing integrated cooperation among all parties to ensure the safety of lives and property of all religious groups and to maintain peace and order in the area.
