Bangkok: "Pro Jin" Atthaya Thitikul, currently the world's second-ranked female golfer, remains in strong contention for her first major title after the third round of the AIG Women's Open. Atthaya finished the round with a score of 1 over par 72, battling challenging wind conditions. Her cumulative score of 4 under par 209 places her in a tie for second with four others, just three strokes behind the new leader, American Yelimie Noh, who carded a 2 under par for a total of 7 under par 206.
According to Thai News Agency, Atthaya expressed that the wind posed significant challenges, making it difficult to approach the hole and affecting her birdie attempts. Meanwhile, Yelimie Noh, the current leader, reflected on her recovery after an early bogey and intends to maintain her focus on the game.
