Prominent Socialite’s Lawyer Submits Evidence in 116 Million Baht Fraud Case

Bangkok: The lawyer representing “High Society Corn,” a well-known socialite, has brought forward significant evidence aimed at prosecuting “Nana” for fraud. This development marks a crucial step in a high-profile case involving substantial financial transactions.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Sawas Charoenphol, the attorney for Ms. Somithinan, also known as “Khaopood,” met with investigators at the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECSD) for over five hours. During this session, he submitted additional documents, including evidence of a 116 million baht money transfer. This evidence pertains to the alleged fraudulent activities orchestrated by “Nana Raibina.” Mr. Charoenphol also disclosed that one of the 17 victims who have filed complaints against Nana is scheduled to provide testimony.

The submitted documents predominantly consist of money transfer records from Mr. Charoenphol’s client, starting from the initial transfer. Specifically, the evidence highlights a total of 116 million baht transferred out for the corn segment. In addition to representing “High Society Corn,” Mr. Charoenphol is also advocating for two other clients within the group of 17 victims. Despite Mr. Saiyut Phengbunchu, Nana’s lawyer, contesting the fraud allegations, Mr. Charoenphol emphasized that it is essential to furnish all relevant information to the investigators to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the case.

Pol. Col. Nitichot Penjamras, Deputy Commander of the ECSD, confirmed that investigators have arranged for “Hi-so Khao Pood,” a prominent figure in the socialite business, to provide further testimony. This testimony is intended to fortify the case file as certain issues still require clarification. Whether a summons will be issued to Mr. Prinya Intachai, also known as Way Thaitanium, is contingent on the victim’s testimony. Should the statements and evidence prove sufficient, a summons will be promptly issued.
