Bangkok:The Thai government's 'One Home Per Person PLUS' program has seen significant public engagement, with 11,430 registrations and funding surpassing 34,290 million baht.

According to Thai News Agency, the Government Housing Bank (GHB) has reported that, as of November 1, 2026, the program has reached 68% of its 50,000 million baht budget. This initiative is designed to facilitate citizens' access to housing loans with favorable terms, including special interest rates and extended repayment periods of up to 40 years.

The program aims to assist low- and middle-income earners in acquiring homes costing no more than 3 million baht. The loans start with interest rates ranging from 2.60% to 2.80% per year for the first two years. Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, emphasized the program's role in stimulating related economic sectors, such as construction and employment, and its broader economic impact.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, recently oversaw the disbursement of loans to approved customers in Udon Thani Province. This event highlighted the program's effective implementation and its benefits for the community.

The government encourages interested parties to register through the GHB Buddy application. Registration is open until December 30, 2030, or until the funding limit is reached, with loan applications available at any GHB branch. Further inquiries can be directed to the GH BANK Call Center.
