Raid on the young engineer hired to produce guns, C4 bomb found in his house

Nakhon Sawan, Raid on the lair of a young engineer hired to produce guns. Searching the production site, they found C4 explosives hidden there. They claimed that they were storing them to sell to the Karen and Burmese people. Police from Banphot Phisai Police Station led forces to arrest Mr. Prasit, 47 years old, a suspect on charges of illegal possession of explosives, illegal possession of ammunition that the registrar cannot issue a license for, and illegal possession of ammunition. The arrest was made at a well-known shipping company in Tambon Bang Ta Ngai, Amphoe Banphot Phisai, Nakhon Sawan Province, before being taken to search a rented house in Village 6, Tambon Thangiew, Amphoe Banphot Phisai. The search found various types of steel used in the production of firearms, gun barrels, 131 rounds of various sized ammunition, a drill press with steel cutting equipment, a C4 bomb weighing approximately half a pound, a standard M5 detonator (jumping frog), and two additional gunpowder bars, all of which t he police seized as evidence in the case. This arrest was made after police officers learned that in Banphot Phisai District there was a place that was hired to manufacture firearms for sale to locals and to sell parcels to other areas. They investigated and found out that the person who was illegally manufacturing and selling firearms was Mr. Prasit, who was using a rented house in Thangiew Subdistrict to manufacture firearms. They therefore planned to make a sting operation before making the arrest. From the interrogation, Mr. Prasit stated that he graduated with a bachelor's degree in engineering, majoring in mechanics, until he had the knowledge and ability to produce and assemble firearms. At first, he was hired to repair firearms for farmers in general before being hired to produce firearms and sell them to those who ordered them through an online page at a price of 3,000-4,000 baht per gun. As for the C4 bombs he had in his possession, someone in Sa Kaeo Province offered to sell them to him, so he bo ught them and kept them to sell for profit to groups of Karen and Burmese people.
