Nonthaburi: Rescue volunteers revealed that in the case of “Nutpong,” they were informed that the man had lost consciousness. Relatives were performing CPR before they went to investigate and quickly called an advanced ambulance to come and rescue him, but it was unsuccessful, so they contacted the police and the doctor on duty.
According to Thai News Agency, the news team spoke via phone with Bank, a rescue volunteer from Nonthaburi Province. He was the first person to arrive at the home of Mr. Nattawut Ponglangka after being notified that an unconscious man was inside. He was informed that initial CPR was unsuccessful. He then called the center. Upon arrival, the advance ambulance staff performed CPR again, as required by protocol, but was unsuccessful. The officer then notified the officer on duty, the doctor, and the district ambulance, who arrived to retrieve the body. District ambulance staff were responsible for collecting the body.
When asked if the person reporting the incident had entered the system as unconscious or dead, the volunteer said the person reported unconscious and that relatives were performing CPR. When the notification was received, it was confirmed that the person had died, so they should go and check.
At the scene, two people were present. I asked them about their relationship to the deceased. They both claimed they were not related to the deceased, but were just friends. They also said the deceased was the owner of the house. I told them to call the deceased’s relatives directly, while I would call the police and the doctor. I left the body lying there for now.
Reporters asked whether, during the recovery of the body at the scene, they found any medicine packets. The rescue volunteer replied, “There were no records at that time.”
Regarding reports of deaths from drug overdoses, rescue volunteers stated, “It’s probably something like that.” In this incident, the center coordinated with an advanced ambulance from the hospital. The primary responsibility for resuscitation will be the hospital’s advanced ambulance.
