Chachoengsao:Rescue workers in Chachoengsao successfully evacuated a bedridden patient from high floodwaters that inundated their home.
According to Thai News Agency, the Chachoengsao rescue unit was called into action around 200 AM on September 26, 2026, when they received a request for assistance. The bedridden patient's house, located near Wat Hua Suan in the Samet Tai Subdistrict of Bang Khla District, was severely flooded, preventing the patient's relatives from evacuating them on their own.
Upon receiving the call, rescue officials faced challenges due to the high floodwaters on the main road, which made vehicle access impossible. The team had to wade through over 100 meters of water, amidst heavy rain, using a fiberglass boat to reach the residence.
At the scene, they found significant flooding, with water levels reaching chest height in several places around the house. Inside, the water was rising rapidly, threatening the patient's safety as it began to encroach on the bedside area.
The rescue team quickly put life jackets on the patient and carefully transported them into the fiberglass boat. They navigated through the floodwaters to reach the main road, and from there, moved the patient to a relative's house located on higher ground, ensuring their safety from the flooding.
