NACC reveals assets of "Phichit Chuenban" during his time as a minister, wealth 89.2 million, collects ivory, bags, branded belts, guns, artwork. The National Anti-Corruption Commission has disclosed the assets and liabilities of Mr. Pichit Chuenban, after assuming the position of Minister to the Prime Minister's Office in the Sathit government on May 3, 2024. Mr. Pichit and Ms. Kaewmanee Jaisue, who live together as husband and wife, reported total assets of 89,252,453 baht and total liabilities of 844,563 baht. Of which Mr. Phichit's assets are 16,872,180 baht, divided into 300,000 baht in cash, 3 deposit accounts totaling 3,591,094 baht, 11,980 baht in investments, 45,000 baht in land in Dan Makham Tia District, Kanchanaburi Province, 650,000 baht in vehicles, 2,067,408 baht in rights and concessions, mostly in life insurance, and 10,206,697 baht in other assets. and reported having an annual income of 1,739,935 baht, divided into salary of 59,935 baht and consulting fees of 1,680,000 baht. It was stat ed that the applicant received a salary in the capacity of working in the position of Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office 1 time and while working in that position the applicant did not receive income from working as a legal consultant for a private company. As for annual expenses, the total is 780,788 baht, of which 300,000 baht is for consumer expenses, 11,640 baht is for car insurance premiums, 449,128 baht is for life insurance premiums and 20,000 baht is for travel. For Ms. Kaewmanee, who is the Managing Director of P Auto Care Co., Ltd., including farmers in Nong Phai Subdistrict, Nong Phai District, Phetchabun Province, reported total assets of 72,380,272 baht, divided into 500,000 baht in cash, 16 deposit accounts totaling 5,615,733 baht, investments of 4,901,247 baht, of which 49,000 units were invested in P Auto Care Co., Ltd., with a value as of the date of the asset listing of 4.9 million baht, loans to P Auto Care Co., Ltd. on July 1, 2024 totaling 11.9 million baht, 7 plots of land in Nong Phai District, Phetchabun Province, and Lat Phrao District, Bang Kapi District, Bangkok totaling 15,724,750 baht, 2 four-storey shophouses and 1 two-storey detached house in Lat Phrao District totaling 6,670,000 baht, 9 vehicles and 1 motorcycle totaling 9,510,000 baht, of which 3.5 million baht is a BMW 730 LD, a 2.9 million baht Volkswagen Caravelle, rights and concessions as life insurance 5,204,042 baht, other assets 12,348, 500 baht, total debt 844,563 baht, divided into overdraft 176,159 baht, loans from banks and other financial institutions 668,403 baht. Ms. Kaewmanee reported an annual income of 1,370,000 baht, of which 420,000 baht is from salary, 100,000 baht from her mother, 200,000 baht from her corn farm, 650,000 baht from her coffee shop, and 2,083,655 baht in annual expenses, of which 300,000 baht is for utility expenses, 224,450 baht for car insurance, 889,204 baht for life insurance, 650,000 baht for her mortgage, and 20,000 baht for travel. However, other interesting assets of the couple include a 5-baht gold necklace worth 200,000 baht, 6 gold-framed amulets worth 650,000 baht, 5 rings worth 935,000 baht, 2 bracelets worth 90,000 baht, 8 brand-name belts worth 635,000 baht, 16 watches worth 6,490,000 baht, 2 guns worth 125,000 baht, Buddha statues, 79 sacred works of art worth 846,697 baht, 15 gold necklaces and 30-baht gold bracelets worth 1,275,000 baht, gold-framed amulets. 8 diamond jewelry items worth 525,000 baht, 15 gemstone jewelry items worth 520,000 baht, 10 branded bags worth 770,000 baht, 37 Buddha statues/artworks/sacred objects worth 685,000 baht, 13 ivory items worth 8,450,000 baht, etc. Mr. Pichit Chuenban was appointed as Minister to the Prime Minister's Office on 27 April 2024. However, on 21 May 2024, Mr. Pichit submitted his resignation after 40 senators submitted a request to the Constitutional Court to examine his qualifications in a case involving contempt of court for depositing a 2-million-baht bag of sweets, as well as to investigate the ethics of Prime Mini ster Settha Thavisin. After Mr. Pichit resigned from his position, the Constitutional Court ordered not to consider Mr. Pichit's qualifications, but to consider Settha's proposal to appoint Mr. Pichit, which led to the Constitutional Court's ruling that Mr. Settha's appointment of Mr. Pichit was a serious breach of ethics, which resulted in the end of Mr. Settha's prime ministership.
