Royal Decree Appoints “Anutin 2” Ministers in Thailand

Bangkok: The Royal Gazette has published a Royal Decree announcing the appointment of ministers under the leadership of Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.

According to Thai News Agency, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn has officially endorsed the appointments following the Royal Decree that named Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul as Prime Minister on March 19, 2026. The newly appointed ministers will assist in continuing the administration of the country.

The appointments, made by virtue of the power vested in Section 158 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, include Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, and Mr. Songsak Thongsri as Deputy Prime Minister. Mr. Ekniti Nitithanpraphas will serve as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, while Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkaew takes on the role of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Further appointments include Ms. Supajee Suthamphan as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Mr. Pakorn Nilapraphan as Deputy Prime Minister, and Mr. Yotsanun Wongsawat as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. Other key positions include Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Mr. Napinthon Srisarppang, Mr. Paradorn Prisnanantakul, and Ms. Sukhsomruay Wantaniyakul as Ministers attached to the Prime Minister's Office.

Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen has been appointed as Minister of Defence, and Mr. Surasak Panjaroenvorakul as Minister of Tourism and Sports. Mr. Nikorn Somklang will serve as Minister of Social Development and Human Security, and Mr. Suriya Jungrungreangkit as Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, with Mr. Watcharapol Khaokham and Ms. Piyarat Tiyapairat as Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Cooperatives.

Other notable appointments include Mr. Chaiyanok Chidchob as Minister of Digital Economy and Society, and Ms. Nan Boonyathida Somchai as Deputy Minister for the same department. Mr. Suchart Chomklin will be the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, while Mr. Ekanat Promphan takes charge as Minister of Energy. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul himself will hold the position of Minister of Interior, with General Peerapong Suwannachawi, Mr. Jetseth Thaiseth, and Mr. Worasit Liengprasit as Deputy Ministers of Interior.

The appointments are effective immediately from March 30, 2026, marking the 11th year of the current reign. The decree is countersigned by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.
