Bangkok: The Royal Thai Air Force's Civil Affairs Department, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Air Force Executive Development Club (RTAF-EDC), is spearheading the promotion of the construction project for the third Great Stupa at Channel 9 MCOT HD television station. This initiative aims to engage the public and gather support for the project.
According to Thai News Agency, on Thursday, July 16, 2026, a delegation led by Air Chief Marshal Wisut Somphakdi, Special Advisor to the Royal Thai Air Force and Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Construction of the Third Phra Maha That Chedi at Doi Inthanon, Chiang Mai Province, met with Dr. Yada Kasayapanan, Acting Managing Director of MCOT Public Company Limited, and her management team. The delegation, which included Air Vice Marshal Prasit Damrongpreecha, Mr. Komol Chiaravanont, and Air Brigadier General Apirat Rangsimakar, sought assistance in promoting the construction project of the Third Phra Maha That Chedi and conducted a study visit at the television station.
The management team of Channel 9 MCOT HD warmly received the delegation, discussing strategies to publicize the construction project. The station committed to aiding in the project's publicity efforts and expressed readiness to provide further support as needed.
During their visit, the delegation toured various production studios and arranged a live interview with Air Chief Marshal Wisut Somphakdi on the program "Kuy Khomong Baai 3 Mong" (Chatting at 3 PM). The interview served as a platform to promote the construction project and encourage Buddhists and supporters to donate towards the establishment of the third Great Stupa.
