Royal Thai Air Force Utilizes Royal-Donated Drone for Firefighting in Khon Kaen

Khon kaen: The Royal Thai Air Force deployed a royal-donated drone to support firefighting efforts at a warehouse in the Sam Yaek Thai Rung Market in Khon Kaen. The drone transmitted real-time thermal images to a command vehicle, aiding in situation assessment and improving incident control efficiency.

According to Thai News Agency, the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) mobilized resources to support the fire control mission at the warehouse in the Sam Yaek Thai Rung market area, Khon Kaen province. The RTAF Training Center at Nam Phong deployed a royal-donated drone, a Command Post, building fire trucks, and personnel including conscripts to participate in disaster relief operations. The RTAF affirmed its readiness to support disaster relief missions and pledged to stand by the people in all situations.

For this mission, a drone donated by His Majesty the King was used to survey the situation, transmitting real-time images via a thermal camera. This data was sent directly to a command post to support the joint incident commander and firefighting team leaders in assessing the situation, analyzing risk areas, and making quick, accurate, and efficient decisions in planning operations. This facilitated rapid and precise firefighting efforts.

The Royal Thai Air Force also expressed its condolences to those who suffered damage and were affected by the fire, and reaffirmed its readiness to fully support disaster prevention and relief missions for the benefit and safety of the public in all affected areas.
