Nakhon Nayok:The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has confirmed that the land in Ban Na District, Nakhon Nayok Province, linked to actress Boom Panadda's husband, is state property managed by the 12th Military Circle, rather than Forestry Department land. The Royal Thai Army has initiated legal proceedings against unauthorized use of the area.
According to Thai News Agency, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, responded promptly after becoming aware of the issue via social media and an official complaint. He tasked Pol. Maj. Gen. Nanthachat Supamongkol and other officials to investigate, confirming the land is under military management, not the Forestry Department.
The contested area, located in the Sri Ka Ang Subdistrict, has been developed into a trail running route. Police Major General Nanthachat Suphamongkol verified that the trail does not encroach upon forest land, with the Treasury Department affirming it as state property reserved for military use.
Major General Winthai Suwaree, Army spokesperson, stated that the land is under Army jurisdiction, specifically managed by the 12th Military District and used by the 2nd Infantry Division, Royal Guard. Unauthorized access was reported, with no lease records from the Treasury Department, prompting further investigation.
The Royal Thai Army, along with government agencies, is working towards a systematic resolution, ensuring legal land use by civilians. The 12th Military District recently convened a meeting to address unauthorized land use, and legal actions are being pursued by the responsible military unit.
