Bangkok: The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy visited 69 public service points for the New Year festival in Bangkok and surrounding areas. Admiral Pairoj Fuengchan, who holds the esteemed position, conducted inspections of these critical service points during the New Year's holiday period of 2026.
According to Thai News Agency, the public service points, established by the Royal Thai Navy's Disaster Relief Center at the Bangkok Naval Base, are strategically located to assist and facilitate safe travel for the public, thereby minimizing risks to life and property. These services are situated at three key locations: in front of Mahidol University in Salaya, Nakhon Pathom Province; Phra Chulachomklao Fort; and the community at the entrance of Wat Laem Alley in Phra Samut Chedi District, Samut Prakan Province.
The service points offer various amenities, including rest stops, route guidance, beverages, restroom facilities, and medical services. These efforts are part of an integrated plan aimed at preventing and reducing road accidents during the New Year's holiday period of 2026. The initiative underscores a commitment to ensuring safe travel for Thai citizens, allowing them to return to their hometowns during the festive season with peace of mind.
