Hat yai: The Royal Thai Navy undertook a critical mission to transport a sick infant from a flood-stricken area in Hat Yai, ensuring the child received urgent medical treatment.
According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, coordinated the dispatch of a helicopter to move the infant from Hat Yai Hospital to Songklanagarind Hospital. This effort is part of a broader mission to support the Emergency Medical Service Office, focusing on the transportation of critically ill patients from heavily flooded zones and delivering essential supplies such as food and water to both patients and medical personnel.
In a concerted effort to address the flooding crisis in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, Mr. Suchart ordered helicopters from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) to work in tandem with the Ministry of Public Health. This collaboration aims to expedite relief operations for affected patients and local residents.
Earlier today, officials successfully executed the transportation of the sick infant via helicopter from the rooftop of Hat Yai Hospital. The child is currently en route to Prince of Songkla University (PSU) for immediate care. The hospital has pledged full support to the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and is mobilizing to deliver 1,000 food packages to areas impacted by the disaster. The mission involves military personnel, medical staff, and rescue teams.
