“Saisunee-Atiwat” carry the Thai flag to the Paris Paralympics

Waew' Saisunee Jana and 'Fiew' Atiwat Paengnuea hold the flag to lead the Thai Paralympic athletes at the Paris Games. Lt. Nayanop Bhirombhakdi, President of the Paralympic Committee of Thailand, revealed that "Waew" Saisunee Jana, a wheelchair fencer, and "Few" Atiwat Paengnuea, a wheelchair racer, will be the flag bearers to lead the Thai Para athletes in the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France. By "Waew" Saisunee, a wheelchair fencing athlete who has competed in the Paralympics for 6 times, winning 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals, said that she was delighted to receive the honor and felt proud every time she served her country. She is 100% ready for this Paralympics and is confident that she will win a gold medal for Thai sports fans. The opening ceremony of the 2024 Paralympic Games will take place on Wednesday, August 28, at approximately 19:40 local time, or 00:40 Thai time. The opening ceremony will last for approximately three hours, starting with a Peo ple's Parade from the Arc de Triomphe down the famous Champs-Élysées, which will be attended by 184 delegations from around the world and more than 6,000 athletes and officials. The official parade will take place at the Place de la Concorde, or Place de la Concorde, directed by Thomas Jolly, the same person who directed and designed the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games. The Paralympics will be held from August 28 to September 8, with 549 events from 22 sports. The Thai athletes have received 79 quotas from 15 sports: 12 in table tennis, 9 in wheelchair racing, 8 in boccia, 8 in badminton, 6 in shooting, 6 in athletics, 5 in swimming, 5 in cycling, 4 in wheelchair fencing, 4 in taekwondo, 3 in archery, 2 in rowing, 2 in canoeing, 2 in weightlifting, 1 in wheelchair tennis, and 1 in judo.
